Dr. Simon Kipersztok is a Reproductive Endocrinologist in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Florida College of Medicine. He obtained his undergraduate education at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts and his medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine. His residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology was completed at the University of Michigan Medical Center and, after practicing general obstetrics and gynecology in rural New Hampshire for three years, Dr. Kipersztok pursued subspecialty training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. and the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. Kipersztok is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Inc. and has also received special recognition by the same Board in the subspecialty of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. His professional interest centers in postmenopausal osteoporosis, laparoscopic surgery, the assisted reproductive technologies and other reproductive disorders in the female, and contraception. He is currently a co-investigator of the Women's Health Initiative, a large federally-funded prospective study that hopes to find answers regarding the effects of hormone replacement therapy in menopausal women. Also, Dr. Kipersztok is the principal investigator in a number of studies that assess bone mineral density in women.
