Neuroradiology Imaging Course – Management of Acute Stroke

Target Audience

Radiologists, Neuroradiologists, Neurologists, and Neurosurgeons.

Course Overview

The course is a 3 day comprehensive, hands-on, workshop type program offering training in whole brain perfusion CTA acquisition, interpretation, image processing, and case reporting.

Education in CT angiographic evaluation of neurovascular disease, stroke, aneurysm, and vascular malformations will be included.

The curriculum includes observations of neuro CTA studies, lectures, learning modules, textbooks, articles, and workstation training.


Upon conclusion of the course, the physician will be able to:

  • Recognize the value of the newer scan methods in the role of acute stroke evaluation.
  • Define the standard of care for the acute stroke patient and identify the requirements necessary for stroke center accreditation.


The University of Florida College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.


The University of Florida College of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 24 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits(tm). Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
